The piano trio was founded by Alexander Shaykin (piano), Kirill Kravtsov (violin) and Fedor Zemlerub (cello) in 2008 in the classes of Alexander Bonduryansky and Irina Kandinskaya at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory. The trio was highly appreciated from the beginning in professional music circles as well as music lovers. One year after the trio was founded, the ensemble received the "Young Award" prize at the renowned "Trio di Trieste" Chamber Music Competition (Italy, May 2009). The trio participated in the 5th Moscow Conservatory Music Festival in August 2011. It played u. a. in all halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Philharmonic Hall of Kaluga, Orel, Kazan, Nijniy Novgorod, Tcheboksary and Troitsk. The trio's vast repertoire includes works from various periods and styles, from Haydn to Schnittke.

Alexander SHAYKIN, piano (Russia)
Born in 1987 in Tcheboksary, Russia. First lessons in 1993 with Anna Arzamanova, Moskow Gnessin School (Russia), 2005-2010 with Vaia Tchachava and since 2005 with Alexander Bonduryansky (chamber music) and with Eliso Virsaladze (piano). Studied at the Moscow State Conservatory, 2010 Graduate Diploma, since 2010 post-graduate student.
Masterclasses 2004 with Nikolay Petrov and with Naum Shtarkman, 2005 with Janiva Aubakirova. 1st prize at the 1st International Gubaidulina Piano Competition (Russia, 2006), 1st prize at the 4th International Piano Competition (Almatu, Kazakhstan, 2008) and 2nd prize at the Frechilla-Zuloaga International Piano Competition (Spain, 2009).

Kirill KRAVTSOV, violin (Russia)
Born in 1987 in Vilnius. First lessons in 1994 with V. Svichkarenko at the Kharkov Special Music School, 1997-2001 with V. Kholodenko, 2001-2006 with M. Keselman and 2006-2011 with M. Glezarova. Studied at the Moscow State Conservatory. Master Classes 2010 with Pavel Vernikov and Massimo Quarta, 2011 with Midori Goto.

Fedor ZEMLERUB, Violoncello (Russia)
Born in 1989 in Moscow. Teaching 1998-2007 with Natalia Shakhovskaya (cello) in Moscow Gnessin School, 2002-2007 with Ludmila Kruzhkova (cello), since 2007 with Alexander Bonduryansky (chamber music) and Andrey Shishlov (quartet). Studied since 2007 at the Tchaykovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Diploma: The fifth course of Tchaykovsky Moscow State Conservatory).
Masterclasses 2009 with Philipp Muller and 2010 with Luis Claret. 2nd Prize Kozolupov National Cello Competition, 3rd Prize National Musical Competition, 2009 International Chamber Music Competition "Trio Di Trieste" "Young Award". Performances in 2007 at the "International Festival of Romantic Music in Moscow" and in 2011 at the Music Festival "Creative Young Musicians of Moscow Conservatory".
